Located on the south side of Charlottesville, Mill Creek (which is divided in two distinct subdivisions, Mill Creek and Mill Creek South) is minutes away from Highway 64 via route 20 and is roughly 10 minutes away from Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall. Mill Creek residents also have one of the easy routes available to get to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, the founding father’s legendary home and one of two UNESCO World Heritage sites in the City. The other is the Jefferson-designed grounds of the University of Virginia, which is located within 20 minutes of Mill Creek. In addition to being the Commonwealth’s flagship research university, the University is home to the highest-ranked hospital in Virginia. For day-to-day living, Mill Creek residents have direct access to 5th Street Station, Charlottesville’s newest shopping district.
